About The Project

The original house was two times smaller before the project. It was demolished and replaced by a custom home with a spectacular 180-degree panoramic view of the Palomar Mountain and the Lilac Valley. Each of the 4 bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. The house features a dramatic entry with 14 ft open-beam ceiling, a dreamy family room with a giant bi-fold door along the entire back wall, a gourmet kitchen with a custom butcherblock island, large bedrooms, and an over-sized three car garage. The high ceilings are harmonious with the unobstructed mountain and valley views observed from every room in the house. Large mantle and the kitchen island are custom made from a 300 year old Black Oak Tree—which once stood over the Butterfield Stagecoach Trail in Julian back in the mid 1800s—a true piece of history and fine custom woodworking. An elegant fireplace in the family room with a custom mantle make a great focal point. Master bathroom is equipped with two shower heads (one rain showerhead) and a large bathtub perfectly situated for sunset views while soaking. Just across the hallway from the master bedroom is another bedroom (with its own private bath) that could be made an office. On the opposite end of the house are the other 2 bedrooms, each with its own private bath, and each has sliding doors and a small patio to enjoy the views.
